Mike + Tarah Downtown Elopement

November 30, 2022

Surprise!! The Plybons tied the knot.

I will forever be a sucker for a “run-away-with-me” to the courthouse style elopement. I’ve worked with Mike and Tarah many times so when they told me they were surprising everyone and eloping I was so stoked to apart of it!

Fun fact, Mike and my husband are actually in the same Linemen apprentice class at Centerpoint Energy, and that’s how we initially got introduced. If you know anything about linemen, you know its kind of a hectic job with demanding hours ESPECIALLY when you’re an apprentice. Linemen and their partners are a really tight knit community of people so going through this crazy process and forming these friendships makes this wedding gallery all the more special to me.

Tarah and I spent the few weeks leading up to their elopement texting back and forth with ideas and inspiration pictures (one of my favorite parts) I really think we were able to make her vision come to life.

Here’s a brief summary of how their day went: I met Mike and Tarah at Houstons GORGEOUS Marriott Marque Hotel before they said “I do” to snap some details and getting ready portraits. From there the three of us headed down to the historic 1910 courthouse where they exchanged beautiful vows and rings and then sealed the deal with a champagne pop at the iconic Saks garage over looking the city. It was an honor to witness and to capture.

Cheers to the Plybons!
